Common questions
What does the app show?
A “Product safety” section on each product page with the manufacturer, the EU Responsible Person when the manufacturer is outside the EU, the product type, SKU and barcode, and any warnings you assign. Empty parts are left out.
Do I need an EU Responsible Person?
Only for products whose manufacturer is established outside the EU. The app flags those products under “Needs attention” when none is assigned.
Do I have to fill this in product by product?
No. Enter each manufacturer once as a profile, then add a rule such as “When vendor is Ceramica Bella, use profile Ceramica Bella S.r.l.”. New products from that vendor pick it up on their own.
I’m the manufacturer. What do I enter?
Your own business name, postal address, an email or website, and your country, as one manufacturer profile with a rule for every product.
The section doesn’t appear on my product page
Check that “Product safety info” is switched on under Online Store > Themes > Customize > App embeds. If your theme is laid out unusually, add the “Product safety” block to the product template instead.
Is this legal advice?
No. The app shows the details you enter, as the GPSR describes them. It doesn’t decide whether a product is safe or which warnings it needs. Check with your local market surveillance authority if in doubt.
How do I cancel Pro?
Open Plans in the app and click Cancel Pro. Product pages keep showing everything you’ve set up on Free.
